Paris tip: board a hot air balloon

Where cars were once manufactured, you will now find lush greenery and a grand view of Paris: Parc André Citroën. It is located directly on the banks of the Seine.

Spanning no less than 14 hectares, this park stands on the site where the Citroën car factory was located at the beginning of the last century. When the factory and headquarters moved to another location, all buildings were razed to the ground to make way for a large park, which opened in 1992.

Landscape architects and designers have created various gardens, each with its own theme and color: the white, black, green, orange, red, blue, silver, and gold gardens. You will find two high glasshouses there; one with tropical plants and the other with orange trees.

And then there is the enormous lawn in the middle of the white garden, which is impossible to miss. From there, the large Generali hot air balloon departs regularly every day (weather permitting). If you board, you will enjoy an impressive view of Paris from a height of up to 150 meters.
